TOOTH EXTRACTION

Although tooth extraction is not a preferred treatment today, it may be necessary in some cases.

Tooth extraction may be due to wide caries, trauma, fractures, or for orthodontic treatment.

During tooth extraction, attention is paid not to damage neighboring tissues.


THINGS TO PAY ATTENTION AFTER TOOTH EXTRACTION


  • The gauze should be bitten for half an hour for bleeding control after tooth extraction.

  • After tooth extraction, ice should be applied for 24 hours.

  • Alcohol and cigarette consumption should be avoided.

  • Strong gargling, spitting should not be done.

  • Aspirin-like blood thinner medications should be avoided unless your doctor has a specific condition.

  • Leaking bleeding is normal but you must immediately consult your doctor in case of unstoppable, excessive bleeding.

  • Should not eat for two hours after tooth extraction

  • Hot, acidic and spicy foods should be avoided for a few days.

  • Prescribed drugs should be used regularly.

  • Especially in cases such as wisdom tooth surgery, a decrease in mouth opening, swelling and bruising may occur.

  • In case of an unexpected situation, the doctor should be consulted immediately.
